We meet at 9:30 AM to watch the live-streamed worship service from First Presbyterian Church at Ko‘olau. Afterward, we share a casual potluck lunch—or you’re welcome to bring your own. What does it really mean to grow more like Jesus? Pastor and author Pete Scazzero writes that we can’t become spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. Our spiritual health and emotional health are deeply connected, and Jesus wants to be Lord over all of it.
Over the next eight weeks, we’ll be on a new sermon series called EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY. We’ll explore what it looks like to mature emotionally as followers of Christ.
This series isn’t simply about becoming psychologically healthier. It’s about bringing our whole selves (our fears, anger, desires, disappointments, wounds, worries, and anxieties) under the loving lordship of Jesus. Let’s get to know ourselves more honestly. Let’s deal with our stuff. And let’s allow Jesus to restore and transform us as we grow more and more like him.
Midweek Gatherings: Wednesdays, 7 PM to 8:30 PM

• September 30 through November 15: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Course
This fall, First Prez is embarking on a church-wide journey through Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, an eight-session, video-based Bible study designed to help us become emotionally healthy and spiritually mature followers of Jesus. Together, we’ll explore how our past, emotions, relationships, grief and loss, and everyday rhythms affect our walk with Christ while discovering biblical and practical ways to experience greater freedom, healing, and transformation. We invite our First Prez ‘ohana to join us as we grow deeper in our relationship with God and one another. The cost is $30 and includes the book, workbook, and devotional. Full scholarships are available.
Join our Weekly Prayer Circle on Thursdays, 10 AM to 11 AM.

The Vine Outreach Opportunities
Serve our kūpuna by delivering weekly dinners to residents at Na Lei Hulu Kūpuna on Cooke Street (Mondays at 5 PM).
Support and encourage men at the IHS Men’s Shelter by delivering coffee and pastries, building friendships, and praying together through the Alpha Course on Saturday mornings.
Share the gospel and build community through weekly Alpha Course gatherings at Alana Ola Pono (AOP) Shelter.
Encourage women on the path to recovery through weekly Bible studies with participants in the Total Life Recovery program at the Women’s Community Correctional Center.
