Jesus is not looking for admirers. He is looking for companions. In this new sermon series, Journey to Jerusalem, Part 1, we follow Jesus from Luke 9:51 onward, as he resolutely sets his face toward Jerusalem. This journey is not just about learning more facts about Jesus. It is about encountering him, knowing him more deeply, trusting him more fully, and joining him more courageously.
Along the way, Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors, trust our Father, seek God’s upside-down kingdom first, and surrender our lives to him. As we study these passages together, we’ll keep returning to the call of discipleship: Be with Jesus. Become like Jesus. Do what Jesus did.

• July 1 to August 26: Preparing for Healthy Dating Relationships before Marriage
People take driving lessons to learn how to drive, or train for months to run a marathon, but how often do we prepare to enter into dating relationships?
This course is adapted from the Alpha Pre-Marital course designed for engaged couples. However, the content and exercises are valuable tools for anyone looking to build healthy dating relationships for the future. In other words, everyone can gain valuable skills and do the inner work in creating healthy relationships prior to dating, or even engagement.
This course addresses typical problems that can arise in relationships and offers practical applicable tools to improve communication and strengthen bonds in relationships. Each week we will examine portions of the Alpha pre-marital course videos and engage in self-reflection, discussion and prayer. Facilitated by Jenny Sung. Sign up here.

The Vine Outreach Opportunities
Serve our kūpuna by delivering weekly dinners to residents at Na Lei Hulu Kūpuna on Cooke Street (Mondays at 5 PM).
Support and encourage men at the IHS Men’s Shelter by delivering coffee and pastries, building friendships, and praying together through the Alpha Course on Saturday mornings.
Share the gospel and build community through weekly Alpha Course gatherings at Alana Ola Pono (AOP) Shelter.
Encourage women on the path to recovery through weekly Bible studies with participants in the Total Life Recovery program at the Women’s Community Correctional Center.
